If you’d like to surprise a loved one on their birthday, we can provide pre-ordered items, which will be ready and waiting for you in your accommodation. Options include birthday cakes, flowers, balloons, cards, handwritten notes, chocolates, wine and fizz. Whatever you have in mind, feel free to share your ideas. We’ll do our best to source them from local suppliers for you.

Places to go out for your birthday

If you’re looking for places to go out and celebrate during your stay with us, there are plenty of options right here in Fort Augustus. For couples and small groups, you could choose to book lunch or dinner in one of the local pubs and restaurants. This includes The Boathouse, a wonderful lochside restaurant here at the abbey. If you’re looking to throw a party, there are also several event spaces for hire in Fort Augustus, such as the abbey’s Club Lounge, the Village Hall and the Caledonian Canal Centre.
