Abbey Holidays Loch Ness is our collection of holiday homes, located within the historic setting of St. Benedict’s Abbey, in the village of Fort Augustus. Here on the picturesque shores of Loch Ness, we offer a range of self-catering cottages and apartments with one, two or three bedrooms. By train

Our closest train stations are Spean Bridge (22 miles), Fort William (32 miles) and Inverness (34 miles). From these train stations, you could take a bus or taxi to our location in Fort Augustus.

By plane

Inverness Airport (44 miles) is our closest airport. From there, it’s around a 1-hour drive to Fort Augustus. Taxis and transfers are available from the airport. Alternatively, you could hire a car from the airport.

Getting around

Our apartments and cottages are located within the impressive St. Benedict’s Abbey in the centre of Fort Augustus. This small Highland village is on the southern tip of Loch Ness. It’s a popular spot for walkers, cyclists and boaters, on the route of the Great Glen Way and Caledonian Canal. There is much to see in this picturesque village. Popular local attractions and activities include the Caledonian Canal Visitor Centre, Cruise Loch Ness boat trips and panoramic views from Suidhe Viewpoint.

This is also a great base from which to explore the rest of the Highlands. There are several bus services through Fort Augustus, which run between Inverness and Fort William. There are also good taxi services, and private tour companies that will take you wherever you wish to go. If you prefer to drive, car hire is available in nearby Inverness and Fort William.
